Marketing 101 : Create a Linear Path
Have you ever put two bones in front of a dog? What does it do?
If you’ve done this before you’ll know that the dog goes crazy.
He sniffs back and forth between the two bones in utter confusion.
If you give a dog one bone what does he do?
He plays with it and then he buries the bone.
In that respect, humans are like dogs.
If you give a person too many bones to play with, he / she won’t play with any of them.
If your firm has too many options, your clients may chose a few things, but each selection will lack commitment.
Why? The theory is that your client is wondering in the back of his mind what those other options are all about.
So, he’s in a hurry to get back to more pleasurable endeavors.
Your solution, get rid of many of the options.
Prioritize. Select those options that, through experience, give the best results, the quickest sales, the more satisfied clients and the best return on your time and investment.

Interesting article, makes me ponder how much I confuse my new clients on the initial interview.
Thanks
